However there are many amusing well animated character moments in the game. There are also particular adult themed stories focused on death and horror and other complex subjects. The graphics and animation are done so well they can be a little frightening even for adults. I don't recommend it for unsupervised impressionable nine year olds because of the violence and killing and adult themed horror sound effects. You could always watch a YouTube video or two as well to see if you're alright with your kid(s) playing it. Wish I'd done that with this one, or just picked up one of the console versions, because none of those have any problems from what I've heard. Don't get me wrong, CP2077 ultimately turned out to be a really good game in the end once it was fixed but I refused to touch it for over a year. Look up the fiasco that was Cyberpunk 2077's release and you'll see what I'm talking about, because Hogwarts: Legacy is going down the exact same road CP2077 went down. If you do decide to let your kids play it, I would *HIGHLY* advise you to get the console version though, as the PC version is riddled with problems. I'm not very far into Hogwarts: Legends, but from what I've heard you can not only learn the unforgivable curses (like the torturing Cruciatus curse or the killing curse Avada Kedavra), you can actually use them (albeit not on students, only on enemies) and I have heard there's a bit of killing in the game, so take that into consideration too. The parents are usually across a wide array of age ranges, nationalities, creeds, religions, etc with kids that are just as diverse. A panel of parents are brought in to watch the movie and afterwards they're basically asked if they thought it would be suitable for their kids. If it's anything like film ratings, they're given by parents just like you. You can't go wrong if you go by the ESRB rating.
